Team USA’s Days Of Dominating The Olympics Are Over
Team USA is no longer a slam dunk to win every game in the Olympics. Look no further than Giannis Antetokounmpo, Luka Doncic and Nikola Jokic, and you’ll see that basketball is more of a global game than ever.
Luka went off for Slovenia with 48 points just hours after Kevin Durant, Damian Lillard and the rest of Team USA lost to a France team led by Evan Fournier. And while it may have been USA’s first loss at the Olympics since 2004, there have been plenty of signs since then that the days of the Dream Team embarrassing every other country by 50 points are long gone.
While the United States still boasts the most talented roster in the world, Gregg Popovich and his squad have been put firmly on notice. Do you think Team USA will rebound to claim its fourth straight gold medal at the Olympics?
